I use the SQL database for GAGEtrak. Whenever I open GAGEtrak, I get a message that says, “ODBC Not a Valid File Name.” After I click OK, GAGEtrak opens. What causes this message?
This message causes no harm, but it appears every time you open GAGEtrak. It appears if you have never linked GAGEtrak to the SQL database logged in as the current user. To eliminate the message, while viewing GAGEtrak’s Menu, on the menu bar, click File -> Open Database. You must check the Use ODBC checkbox and fill in the starred items, then click the OK button. When the SQL database is relinked to GAGEtrak this way once, the information about the ODBC connection will be written to the Windows Registry for the current user and the warning message will no longer appear.
